Apparels
Apparels are decorations that change the appearance of certain equipment items. Apparels are mostly just decoration and do not provide bonuses to character's combat stats, but weapon apparels add +1/1 to min/max attack. In addition to apparels for the main equipment, there are also other decorations: fairy pet apparels, handpet skins, auras, wings and mounts.
Where to get apparels
Apparels can be purchased in item mall for IMPs. Apparels are sold in the 2 tabs: Appearance and Unique App. By scrolling down the list below, you need to select the desired apparel category for a specific weapon or apparel for a specific race.
How to try on apparels in Item Mall before purchasing
Having selected the apparel set for your race and class, you need to click on the “TRY” button below. Sometimes, after trying on the previous apparel, a character, for example, remains wearing a hat from the previous set. To remove the remains of the previous apparel from the fitting window, you need to press the "CLEAR" button. To prevent a situation where the apparel in the IM is not drawn due to the abundance of characters around, it is advisable to leave Argent and do the fitting in a sparsely populated place.
How to put on an apparel
Apparels are equipped in the second inventory tab - APPAREL. Apparels do not need to be fused with real equipment, they are worn separately. You can wear different combat equipment under the same apparel. While wearing the same combat equipment, you can change apparels as much as you like.
Why is apparel/hat not showing
In order for the apparel to be displayed, the character must be wearing the corresponding piece of real equipment. For example, in order for the hat apparel to be displayed, the character must be wearing a combat hat. Lance, Phyllis and Carcise hats can be purchased from the NPC Weird Hat Seller in Argent (2241,2771).
If all the apparels in the game are not displayed, you need to press Esc - Game settings and make sure that the "Players apparels" setting is set to "Show".
Strengthening equipment
Since apparels are not fused with real equipment, then for strengthening battle equipment apparels are also not needed. Combat equipment is strenghtened directly.
Barborosa's Fork
Many players may remember the trick with the sword apparel "Barborosa's Fork", which on official servers, when worn in the left hand, immediately gave to crusaders level 10 of the "Dual Sword Mastery" skill, without the need to level up this skill to the maximum. On the current Corsairs Online server, the "Barborosa's Fork" trick does NOT work! The fork apparel does not provide any hidden bonuses!
