Gems extraction (pliers)
Gems extraction allows player to return gems previously forged into equipment. The process is reverse to the forge process in Corsairs Tales of Pirates.
What is needed to extract
To exctract each gem from equipment, Blacksmith pliers are needed. Pliers can be bought in item mall for IMPs or for reputation points. Also gold in the amount: 10k * [total amount of all gems forged into the equipment] is needed.
How to extract gem
To extract the gem, you need to go to the Blacksmith - Smithy in Shaitan (903,3496) and select the "Extract Gem" point, place the equipment and pliers, and click "Confirm". After extraction, only stats gem itself is returned to the player. Refining Gem (ref) does NOT return.
In what order are the gems extracted
Gems are extracted in the following order: first, all gems from the 1st socket are extracted, starting from the highest level gem, ending with the lowest, then all the gems from the 2nd socket are extracted, then gems from 3rd socket.
Example
From this sword, gems will be extracted in the following order:
- Lv 3 Lustrious Gem
- Lv 2 Lustrious Gem
- Lv 1 Lustrious Gem
- Lv 2 Cracked gem of rage
- Lv 1 Cracked gem of rage
If all the gems were extracted from the 1st socket, but at the same time gems in the 2nd socket were left in the equipment, then with further forging of new gems, in the "Forging" dialog box gems from the 2nd socket will de displayed as if they were forgeded into the 1st socket. This is actually just a visual representation, and the 1st socket remains empty, so the new gems will be inserted into the empty 1st socket.
