Gems are gemstones that can be forged into sockets of equipment (including rings, necklaces, corals and cloaks), thereby increasing stats of character. Gems are also used to create unique rings and necklaces.

Gems: types, maximum level, where to forge

The table shows all types of gems that currently exist in Corsairs Tales of Pirates. Gems can be conveniently sorted by equipment type. For example, by clicking on the "gloves" icon, all gems that can be forged into gloves will be shown first in the table. The number in the yellow cell indicates the maximum level of the gem. "X" in the cell means that the gem cannot be inserted into this type of equipment.

Gems of the same level can be combined, to make higher levels gems, and then forged into equipment.

Where to obtain gems and gem shards

For more comfortable storage, some gems drop out in the form of vouchers. To turn a voucher into a gem (and vice versa), just right-click on the voucher/gem.

Refining gem (Ref)

Refining gem can be dug out of NSS and OSS, obtained during process of butchering fish, as well as obtained during killing chests and some of common monsters of FC, DS and DW.

Common gems

  • Common gems can be produced by crafting, dug out of NSS and OSS.
  • Obtained by killing monsters and chests of DW.
  • By killing Barborosa and Deathsoul Commander Shining Gem can be dropped.
  • At NPC Jeweler in Argent (2202,2776), player can give: 2x identical common gem vouchers + 5x Inert Dust + 50 000 gold, and in return receive 1x Voucher for any other random common gem.

Jades

Jade bosses, sea bosses and boss of Eternal garden drop jade chests, upon opening which the character randomly receives one of the three jades.

Broken gems (+2)

Shards of broken gems can be produced by crafting, dug out of NSS, obtained by killing monsters, mini bosses and chests of FC. Also shards of broken gems can be obtained by exchanging Eternal Garden tokens from NPC Crazy Erol. Eternal Garden tokens can be obtained in maze Eternal Garden (EG). Gems itself also can be dug out of NSS and OSS:

Cracked gems (+3)

  • Cracked gems can be dug out of NSS.
  • Different shards of cracked gems can be dropped from different chests in DS.
  • Shards of cracked gems can be produced by crafting, or dug out of NSS and OSS.
  • Shards of cracked gems can be obtained by exchanging Eternal Garden tokens from NPC Crazy Erol. Eternal Garden tokens can be obtained in maze Eternal Garden (EG).
  • Shards of cracked gems can be obtained from fish butchering.
  • Cracked chest can be obtained by killing bosses of DW.

  • Purse with rock gems can be exchanged for eternal garden tokens at NPC Crazy Erol. By opening purses player can get one of three rock gems.

New Gems

New gems can only be obtained by combining shards.

  • Shards of new gems drop from all monsters of the Lone Tower 4/5/6 but the drop rate from robots is much higher.

  • Lone Tower 5: (484, 41), (641, 49)
  • Lone Tower 6: (548,277), (499,323)

Pirate's Gems (for cloak)

Pirate's gems (for cloak) can be obtained by opening  Admiral's Sack, which drops from land monsters at the Naval Base:

You can get to the Naval Base by purchasing a ticket from Baby in Argent (2202,2776).

Unique gems (+5)

Gems can be purchased from NPC Chaos Administrator in Icicle (1374,529). Shards can be obtained in Chaos,created with crafting, dug out of OSS.

Black dragon gems (BD)

Gems can be purchased from NPC Chaos Administrator in Icicle (1374,529). Shards are obtained in Chaos. From the bosses of the Dragons Lair players can get both solid BD gems and shards.

Gem shard exchange

The player can exchange identical gem shards and inert dust for an entire gem by going to NPC Jeweler in Argent (2212,2768) and selecting "I want to exchange gem shards":

Cracked gem: 2x Shard cracked gem + 15x Inert dust

Chipped gem: 2x Shard chipped gem + 20x Inert dust

Feng's Defense: 4x Feng's Defense Shards + 15x Inert dust

Small Shark's Strengthening: 2x Shark's Strengthening Shards + 15x Inert dust
