Strengthening equipment
Strengthening equipment is a process that allows player to increase the stats, that character has from equipment and forged into equipment gems.
How does strengthening equipment works
- Each strengthening adds 1% effectiviness to all the stats that the equipment and the gems forged into it give.
- Maximum effectiviness is 10% (10 times).
- Fractional values are rounded down to whole numbers.
- If equipment and gems give an increase to the same stats, then the strengthening will add a percentage of the sum of these values. For example, if gloves give +4 Accuracy, and gems forged into the gloves give +7 Accuracy, then strengthening to 10% will give an additional +1 Accuracy (10% of [4+7=11]). In total, these gloves will give +12 Accuracy.
What is needed to strengthen equipment
For each one strengthening attempt, player need:
- Strengthening Crystal. Can be bought in item mall for IMPs.
- Strengthening Scroll. Can be bought for reputation points, dug out of NSS and OSS or obtained by fish butchering.
- Gold. The amount depends on the level of strengthening.
How to strengthen equipment
To strengthen equipment, player need to go to NPC Blacksmith - Smithy in Shaitan (903,3495) and select "Gear Upgrade", first place a Strengthening scroll in the Equipment strengthening tab, then piece of equipment and a strengthening crystal , and click the "Confirm" button. Player don't need apparels for this.

What equipment can be strengthened:
- Hat
- Armor (torso)
- Gloves
- Boots
- Greatsword
- One-handed sword
- Bow
- Gun
- Staff
- Dagger
All other equipment, including corals and shields, cannot be strengthened.
